My staff has become very familiar with the unique needs of out-of-town patients. We are committed to making travel to the Phoenix-Scottsdale area for breast surgery as simple and convenient as possible. Email is a great tool for discussing a patient’s concerns and expectations, answering questions and securely exchanging information. We will also offer help and guidance over the phone, and we can proceed to the point of scheduling surgery prior to the patient’s visit.
For out-of-town patients, I will typically schedule an in-depth phone consultation prior to breast augmentation in Phoenix, including a review of pre-operative photos sent in by the patient. A final, in-person consultation is also scheduled for the day prior to surgery. This helps to minimize time away from home but still meets the critical need for a personal assessment and discussion before surgery.
I want my patients to be very realistic about their post-surgical experiences, and I typically recommend a 7-to-10-day stay in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area. This allows me to meet with the patient once or twice following surgery to be sure that she is well on her way to a healthy recovery before she returns home.
Out-of-town patients and their caregivers have numerous options for lodgings in very close proximity to our plastic surgery center. My staff can provide the names of several local hotels and restaurants, as well as other information visitors find helpful.
