Breast Augmentation (Corrective) Case 401

This patient is a 48-year-old female who presented to my office with complaints of hard and unnatural appearing breasts. The patient had previously undergone breast augmentation in the 1980's and appeared to have bilateral capsular contractures as well as likely ruptured implants.

In surgery, the patient's old implants and scar tissue was removed.  The new implants that were placed were both Sientra smooth round 380 cc moderate profile cohesive silicone gel implants.  The larger implants fit her base width much better and improved her overall aesthetics.  A circumareolar mastopexy (tightening around the areolas) was also performed to improve the areola position and size on each breast.  After surgery she recovered well and was very pleased with the more natural look and feel of her breasts.
