Breast Augmentation Case 101

This 33-year-old woman from the Phoenix area was unhappy with the changes her body had undergone after pregnancy, and visited my Scottsdale area medical practice to find out whether a "Mommy Makeover" cosmetic surgery procedure near Phoenix would create the changes she wanted. Specifically, she felt that her breasts were droopy and "deflated" in appearance, and she did not like how loose and wrinkled her abdomen appeared after being stretched during pregnancy.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding cause many mothers to lose a significant amount of breast volume, so for this woman I recommended combining a breast augmentation with a circumareolar mastopexy, which tightens the skin and breast tissues around the areola, without creating the large incision scars of more dramatic lift procedures. To restore a more toned appearance to her abdomen I also recommended a full abdominoplasty.

In her procedure, to achieve the most natural-looking results for her body, I tried a few different sizers before choosing Mentor 375cc smooth, round, moderate-plus profile cohesive silicone gel implants, which I placed below the chest muscles. I also performed a Scottsdale area tummy tuck to tighten her abdominal muscles and remove excess skin and fat from the lower belly. To ensure a more toned appearance and a slimmer waistline, I performed power-assisted liposuction on her flanks.

After surgery, this woman recovered very well, and was extremely happy with her fuller, perkier breasts.
