This athletic young woman from the Gilbert area was displeased that her breasts had never developed as fully as she had hoped. When she met with me at my office in Scottsdale, she made it clear that she wanted a very natural, subtle result that would look proportionate to her slim body. As an athletic woman, she wanted a smaller size that would not affect her physical activities. Based on her physical examination and our discussion, I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation near Phoenix, Arizona using silicone implants.

Because of this patient's slimness and good muscle tone, I recommended that she choose to have her implants placed through an incision at the lower edge of the areola and positioned below the muscle of the chest. For thinner, physically fit patients this approach is often the best way to ensure a smooth slope in the upper breasts and help prevent the implants' "edges" from being visible. In the operating room, I tried multiple sizers before determining that Mentor smooth round 300cc moderate-plus profile cohesive silicone-gel implants looked best for her frame.

This patient did very well after her procedure and enjoyed a normal recovery. At her follow-up appointment, she told me she was extremely happy with the difference her new breasts made to her entire figure. She was especially happy to see how well her cosmetic surgery procedure near Phoenix created such natural-looking results and helped balance her shape, and she loves the fact that her procedure has not affected her ability to participate in her favorite activities.
