Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Case 292

This patient is a 40 year old female from Chandler, Arizona who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona medical practice with interest in breast and body improvements after a dramatic weight loss. 

Specifically, this patient had lost 130 pounds through diet and exercise, and after the weight loss, she noticed that her breasts had become significanty droopier and she was unhappy with the excess skin of her abdomen. I felt that a breast lift (mastopexy) with an extended tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and liposuction of the flanks would give her the best overall result.

In surgery, I performed a breast lift using the Wise pattern (anchor scar)  in order to achieve maximum tightening and lift for this particular patient. I then performed a extended tummy tuck with significant abdominal muscle tightening and a large degree of skin removal, thereby flattening her abdomen and creating a waistline. I concluded with liposuction of the flanks (love handles) in order to maximize the improvement of her waistline.

After surgery, the patient recovered nicely and could not believe how much better her breasts and abdomen looked. This patient finally felt that her outward appearance reflected the way she felt on the inside.
