This patient is a 24 year old female who came from New Mexico to my Scottsdale, Arizona area medical practice with interest in breast reduction surgery. This patient had all of the classic symptoms of oversized breasts including neck pain, back pain, bra strap grooving, shoulder discomfort, and difficulty with physical activity.
I recommended a breast reduction for this patient which I felt would relieve the majority of her symptoms as well as improve her proportions and overall appearance.
In surgery I performed a vertical (lollipop scar) breast reduction with a full lift. The nipples/areolas were left attached to the underlying breast tissue. I removed approximately 390 grams from the right and 290 grams from the left due to a preoperative asymmetry.
After surgery the patient healed well and was extremely pleased with her results. Her physical symptoms were resolved and she was very happy with the symmetry and improved proportion and aesthetics of her breasts.
