Rhinoplasty (Nasal Surgery) Case 181

This patient is a 29 year old female from the Phoenix, Arizona area who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona area medical practice with interest in rhinoplasty (nasal reshaping) surgery.  This patient had suffered multiple nasal traumas in the past qand was unhappy with the bumpy appearance of her nasal dorsum and the wideness of the tip.

I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty surgery.  I explained that I would need to shave down the excess bone and cartillage of her dorsum to straighten her nose from the side view.  I also felt that she would need refinement of the tip cartilage, as well as setting back of the tip to avoid an excessively projected nose.

In surgery, I was able to shave down the patient's nasal dorsum without requiring infracture (breaking) of the nasal bones.  I also refined and narrowed the tip, as well as setting it back to improve the overall nasal aesthetics.

After surgery, this patient was extremely happy with her refined, but natural nasal appearance.  She felt much more confident in her appearance, and had no issues with her breathing or other nasal functions.
